Digital Literacy for Employability – Guest Session
Date: 26-February-2026 Time : 3:30 pm onwards Jankidevi Bajaj Institute of Management Studies organized an expert session by Pratham InfoTech Foundation in collaboration with IBM to conduct two-hour workshops on Digital Literacy for Employability , for MBA/MMS First- and Second-Year students. The objective of the programme is aiming to equip students with digital skills through the IBM Skill Build Course, enhancing their employability.
The institute, established on 17th August 1997, is the management studies arm of SNDT Women's University. With its two-year full-time Master’s Degree Programme in Management Studies (MMS) and Ph.D. programme in Management, JDBIMS continues to promote professional education for women while fostering academic excellence and industry engagement.
Speaker Profile
The session was conducted by Ms.Diksha Singh the Institutional Partnership and Training Fellow, who holds a Master’s degree in Finance and possesses over five years of experience in the training and teaching sector. She has been actively involved in delivering training programmes focused on emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), in collaboration with IBM SkillsBuild and other industry initiatives.
With extensive experience in academic training and industry-oriented skill development, she has successfully guided students in understanding modern digital tools and technologies. Her expertise lies in simplifying complex technological concepts and enabling students to develop practical knowledge that enhances their career readiness.
Through her association with IBM’s training programmes, she has contributed significantly to promoting digital literacy and preparing students to adapt to the evolving demands of the technology-driven workforce.

Pratham InfoTech Foundation in partnership with IBM SkillsBuild is committed to work with youth from underprivileged communities by developing their skills and knowledge. This would help them to gain success in the workforce. Through this partnership we aim to empower 100000 youth by providing them access to digital knowledge, and improve more than 10000 youth standard of living by providing them placement opportunities. The project is currently running Gujarat, Mumbai, and Pune locations.

Workshop Overview
The workshop was designed to cover a wide range of essential topics aimed at enhancing students’ professional and technical competencies. Key areas included professional skills development, interview preparation, introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI), IT fundamentals, and effective job search strategies. These sessions were structured to provide participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical insights required to succeed in today’s competitive job market.
Throughout the workshop, students were guided on how to improve their communication and workplace etiquette, prepare effectively for interviews, and understand the basic concepts of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. In addition, the sessions on IT fundamentals and job search strategies helped participants gain awareness of current industry expectations, resume-building techniques, and methods for identifying suitable career opportunities.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants who successfully completed the programme were awarded the IBM SkillsBuild online certification, which was delivered to their registered email addresses.
